Leonard A. Belford ( September 4, 1944 - July 12, 2023)

Leonard A Belford, 78, of Bensalem, PA, passed away on July 12, 2023 at Chapel Manor Skilled Facility, of Philadelphia, PA.

Leonard was born in Norristown, PA to Raymond D. Belford and Aldine M. (Snyder). He is survived by a sister Eleanor M. Prestia (James) and a brother Raymond D. Belford, Jr. ( Margie). He is also survived by nephews and nieces James Prestia, Jr. and Corinne Prestia Wasser (Scott);  Glenn Rickert, Jr (Kelly) and Jessica Belford Fischli (David), as well as his good friend Adam Harris. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two nephews, William J. Prestia and Raymond D. Belford, III.

Leonard grew up in Swedeland, PA, learning to play the accordion and piano at the age of 8 years old. He graduated Upper Merion HS winning the Typing Award, most likely due to the dexterity he gained while practicing playing the accordion. He enjoyed making music his entire life, often playing and singing in nursing facilities. He was an ordained minister, earning degrees at both Eastern Baptist College and Reformed Episcopal Seminary.

His varied job experiences ranged from being a volunteer teacher at Christ Home for Children, Warminster, PA; was a n assistant to a dean at Temple University; processed mortgages at the Philadelphia Police and Fireman Credit Union, and most recently he joined and helped manage the front desk of the Fitness 19 Gym located in Jenkintown.
