Lillian Letitia Barrett was born to Lillian and Donald Hilliard in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1962. She attended the Philadelphia Public School system. She worked for PNC Bank in Eastwick Philadelphia as a Securities Settlement Processor. She was the proud mother of one boy Asa and two girls Amia and Dionna. She lived for her kids and her two grandbabies Mustafa and Kaiah. Lillian was a very beautiful easy going woman, or as she would say "I aint making no noise." She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She did not take any nonsense from anyone either. She had no problem giving anyone a few choice words. She may have had a tough skin at times, but she had a huge heart. She loved to have fun such as water balloon fights, snowball fights, the intense monopoly games, blowing bubbles with all the kids in the family, or just bursting into laughter at knock-knock jokes. She was known to have a stash of candy and snacks at all times, making her''s the clear favorite hang out house in the neighborhood. She lived a simple life and lived it her way, with pride and dignity. She loved her family and absolutely loved all the kids in her life, family or not.
Our mother accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and knew His grace and mercy for herself. She is now in Glory with her Mother Lillian Hilliard, Father Donald Hilliard, her younger brother David Hilliard, and her nephew Bruce Poles. She leaves to mourn three sons Asa, Shani and son-in-law Mustafa, three daughters Amia, Dionna and N''Dia and 2 grand children Mustafa and Kaiah. She leaves 2 brothers Donald and Reggie, 2 sisters June and Kim. She has a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces/nephews, and cousins. She was known as "The mom" to all of our friends and had a village of supportive people who loved her to pieces. Though we are saddened, we praise God for saving her and allowing her to brighten our days. So receive yours wings mom and tell Jesus we said thanks. Well love you for eternity!
