Obituary

Lillian Elaine Muldrow Christian-Evans was born on October 15, 1958, in Philadelphia, PA to McKinley Muldrow and Mae Montgomery Muldrow. She was the youngest of four children. Lillian attended Parochial schools in Philadelphia. After graduating from John W. Hallahan Catholic High School, she attended Lincoln University where she met and later married Steven Christian, Sr. In 1980 they welcomed their only child, a son, Steven Wayne Christian, Jr.

As a teenager Lil worked in the John Wanamaker department store restaurant. Her professional career began when she worked at Colonial Penn Insurance Company. Lillian had good innate managerial skills and left the insurance company to begin employment with The Nelson Medical Group (NMG), where she worked for over 20 years and growing to become the administrator for all the NMG branches throughout Philadelphia. Later, she continued employment in the medical field at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where she found an opportunity to work with Ear, Nose and Throat specialist team until her retirement. In addition to working Lillian enhanced her professional skills by taking classes at Gwynedd Mercy College.

Lillian, with her vibrant personality and joyful spirit, had a love for fashion and jewelry. Her most enthusiastic hobby was retail therapy. She also enjoyed going to the gym, cheering for her favorite sports teams, watching Lifetime and True Crime television shows, and spending time with her family and friends.

One of Lillian's greatest sources of joy was the loving relationship she enjoyed with her son, Wayne, daughter-in-law, Kia and granddaughters, Jaylin and Sydney. Adoring barely describes how much they meant to her and how much she relished the time she spent with them.

In June 2019, Lillian married Willie Evans and relocated to Warsaw, Virginia. In Virginia she became active in her church. She sang on 2 choirs, both the senior Choir and the Anointed Voices for Christ and was a member of the WOW (Women of the Word) Women's Group. With the onset of illnesses, they returned to Philadelphia. Willie predeceased Lillian on August 27, 2024.

Lillian was a caregiver and, even as she battled cancer, she attended to the needs of her ailing husband until she was no longer able.

As the sun rose on December 17, 2024, our Lord declared there was no need for Lillian to suffer any longer and brought her home to become an ancestor.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband Willie Evans, father, McKinley Muldrow, mother, Mae Montgomery Muldrow, and brother, Tyrone Muldrow. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted son, Steven Wayne Christian, Jr., daughter-in-law, Kia Christian, granddaughters, Sydney Christian and Jaylin Clark, brother, Marshall Muldrow, sister, Deborah Muldrow Briscoe, Goddaughter, Dominique, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews, and many friends and extended family members.
