Mabel Victoria Melhado (nee Wellington) passed away peacefully surrounded by her adoring children on December 18, 2021 age 90 years. She is survived by her children: Ralph, Herman, Jennifer, Cherryl, Paul, Alvin, step children: Pauline, Gloria and Vernon, her sister, Rhona; 19 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren, nieces, Althea and Shawn as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, Granville Melhado and her son, Denzil.

Mabel emigrated to New York City from Jamaica in the 70's where she finished raising her children. She loved to travel back to Jamaica to visit with family, the beaches, which she loved, to swim and float in the ocean. She was a loving, doting and attentive mother to her children and led a dedicated Christian life; attending church and praying often. She will be missed by all who love her.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Viewing on December 29, 2021 at 9:00-11:00am in True United Church, 6201 Old York Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19141. A Prayer Service to commence at 11:00am.
