Obituary

Margaret Davies, 85, of Ambler, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Friday, April 12, 2024. She was born May 18, 1938, in Mahanoy City, PA, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Helen (nee Burns) Burke."Peg" graduated Nursing School in Philadelphia, PA. On June 25, 1960, she was married to the late Herb Davies, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2011. They were able to celebrate their 50 year wedding anniversary.

Peg was a nurse in her early years and was survived by her daughter Cheri (Gene Spirito) and adopted son Brian and was also loving mother to Scott and Gwen, whose deaths preceded Peg's. She is also survived by grandson's Joshua, Justin, Michael, and Timothy (TJ) and granddaughters Melissa and Danielle. Peg loved to dance and loved to tell stories about her high school dances in both Mahanoy City and Philadelphia, where she met Herb. In addition to her parents, husband and 2 children, Peg was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy, and 2 sisters, Pat and Theresa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service at 11am at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Burial will follow in George Washington Memorial Park.
