"Peggy" Beaver
January 23, 1925 – October 17, 2018
Margaret, 93, of Clark Summit and Flourtown, PA, passed peacefully at home with family surrounding on Oct. 17, 2018. Born Jan. 23, 1925 to the late Ira Kinter and Lenora (Koontz) Blough. Moving to Philadelphia as a senior in high school she graduated from Germantown High School. Upon graduation she was accepted to Drexel University as 1 of 4 women in a class of 71 students. She studied engineering and design and spent 3 years working for the war movement in the design and quality control of radio communications used by the armed forces. Following her service she returned to Philadelphia where she received her degree from Temple University. She was the loving wife of the late Charles Joseph till his death in 1974. She was a devoted wife and mother and worked as a homemaker until beginning her career in banking.
She is survived by her son Douglas G. Beaver (Patricia L.); grandchildren Aaron, Adam, Natalie, and Laura; great grandchildren Ellysha, Hannah, Emma, Alexia, Liam, and Grant; niece Sallie Sobeck; great nieces Laura, Kim, and Jesse; and great nephews Jonathan, Richard, and Matthew.
