Marie Turner, age 92, of Cheltenham, PA passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Colquitt County, GA on December 11, 1933, to the late Calanthe Lowery. She went to the Moultrie High School for Negro Youth and graduated in 1951. She earned her bachelor's degree in business from Temple University. She met the love of her life, the late John D. Turner, and married in 1952.

Marie was a very active person, where you would find her walking around her neighborhood up until her later years, when exercise became an indoor activity. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, picture puzzles, and was an avid reader. Marie was known for her cooking and baking skills, but most of all, Marie was a proud grandmother who would spend much of her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Marie is reunited with her mother, the late Calanthe Lowery; her devoted husband, John D. Turner and her six siblings. She is survived by her loving son, James Turner and wife Debra Turner; her beloved grandchildren, Nicole Turner and husband Amir Miller, and Christopher Turner and wife Jasmine Turner; her cherished great grandchildren, Autumn, Aryn, James, Johnathan, Arianna, Anthony, Justin; as well as her sister, Rosiena Cook, and several nieces, nephews and cousins that will all share fond memories.

A memorial service will be held privately by family in Cheltenham, PA.
