Marilyn M. (Clark) Cimijotti, age 89, beloved wife of 66 years to Eberhard B. "Abe" Cimijotti of Elverson, PA, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2022, in West Chester.
Born on February 28, 1933, in Mason City, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. "Jack" and Marie K. (Bernemann) Clark.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph's School in Mason City.
Marilyn and Abe moved to upstate New York and raised their large family in East Greenbush, NY.
She was a telephone operator and had also worked for JC Penney and Crossgates Mall.
Upon retirement, Marilyn and her husband moved to Florida and later to Pennsylvania. They traveled around the United States, and overseas to the United Kingdom, Canary Islands, and Ireland. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter Catholic Church in West Brandywine.
Marilyn had many interests. She enjoyed card playing, crocheting, counted cross stitch, needlepoint, adult coloring books, scrapbooking, reading (her favorite outing was a trip to the local Barnes and Noble), and watching murder mysteries. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially at Christmas, which was her favorite holiday. Marilyn and Abe would always host Christmas Eve and thoroughly enjoyed having the family all together. Her favorite drinks were a good Brandy Alexander, Whisky Sour, and a Highball. Everyone who knew Marilyn loved her. She had a warm heart and a smile on her face all the time. During her last few years at Tel Hai Retirement Community, she made many friends and enjoyed a good card game with the card group.
In addition to her loving husband, Marilyn is survived by her children: Cynthia Cimijotti of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Christopher Cimijotti of Albany, NY, Charles Cimijotti of Bucharest, Romania, Jonathan Cimijotti (Tammy) of East Greenbush, NY, Michelle Steinbrecher (John) of Elverson, PA, Stephen Cimijotti (Jessica) of Breinigsville, PA, and Joseph Cimijotti of Orlando, FL.
