Mark V. Richey, age 58, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25th at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia. He was born on April 7, 1965 in Philadelphia to Thomas and Joan Richey. He was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School in 1983, and went on to further his education at Montgomery County Community College and Drexel University. He received degrees in Management of Information Services in 1995 and maintained a career in the IT Consulting field. Mark owned and operated his own consulting service, while working with many companies and making worldwide connections. Mark loved meeting people and talked to everyone. He was a devoted father, as well as a coach for many youth sports teams where his children were participants. He was a NASA enthusiast and enjoyed supporting local Philadelphia bands. Mark also liked nature and traveling. He strived to live every day to its fullest. Mark had a passion for animals and founded the Kitten Mission in 2018. His initiative was to help place countless stray and abandoned cats in loving homes throughout the Philadelphia area.

He is survived by his two children, Katelyn Richey and Andrew Richey of Philadelphia; his brother Paul Richey (wife Anne) and their children Emmitt, Grace and Elizabeth of Washington Boro, Pennsylvania. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
