Mary Dover (nee Cornish) Murphy, 95, passed away on October 16, 2021. She shared 72 happy years with her late husband, Robert Julian Murphy. Born May 3, 1926, in Philadelphia, to the late Wendell and Effie Cornish, she was a graduate of The Philadelphia High School for Girls and The Philadelphia Museum College of Art (now, University of the Arts) along with courses taken at Temple University. Mary spent twenty-five dedicated years with students in the library of Thomas Mifflin Elementary School in Philadelphia. Mary was a member of the Kappa Delta Epsilon Sorority and Clubs Gems, P.O.N. and Karma. She shared over twenty-five happy retirement years with Bob. They were known as "The Traveling Murphys".

Mary loved her family which includes sons Robert J. Jr., Paul R. and daughter Mary E. (Betsy), daughter-in-law Dale Murphy and Judy Green, grandchildren Howard (and Eileen), Eric (and Christy), Michele (and Pete), Bryce (and Deana), Cassie, David (and Kelly) and Matty (and Michelle), and great-grandchildren Mia, Eric Jr., Noah, Gus, Sevie, JoBel, Nat, Zion, Haviv, Nava Ray and Simcha.
