Obituary of Mary Lou Riethof

Mrs. Mary Lou Riethof of Harleysville, formerly of Lafayette Hill, passed away on September 29, 2010. Age 85. She grew up in Elkhart County, IN and graduated from high school in New Paris, IN, Class of 1943. An alumnus of Manchester College, Class of 1948, she was a chemist and homemaker. A member of the SE PA Orchid Society and the Cymbidium Society, she also enjoyed bird watching and traveling. Mrs. Riethof was a member of the Philadelphia First Church of the Brethren where she was active in the church library, District Historical Committee and was a former deacon and church clerk. Beloved wife of Thomas R. Riethof. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Elisabeth Weida (Robert), and nephews Anthony & Peter Weida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the above named church or the SE PA Orchid Society.
