Obituary of Mary Sheldon

Mrs. Mary F. "Polly" Sheldon passed away on March 23rd, 2011 at Simpson Meadows in Downingtown. She was 87 years old. Mary was a long time resident and successful business woman of Norristown and was very active in the community. She participated in competitive Badminton, volunteered at Norristown State Hospital and was a part of the Mercy Suburban Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. In addition she was an avid golfer, rode motor cycles, participated in Dance-Skating, and did some modeling in her younger years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, the late William F. Sheldon and her brother Howard E. Hale. Surviving are her daughter Laurie Short and her Husband Bill of Downingtown, her grandson Kevin Short, her sister-in-law Mary Louise Sheldon of Dover, DE, her nieces and nephews and her beloved best friend Rita Riccardelli of Lansdale.
