Obituary of Matthew Andraos

Matthew (Matt) Youssef Andraos, age 22, from Cheyney, Pennsylvania, son of Youssef and Margherita Andraos, passed away on Thursday, April 2nd in a motorcycle accident.

Matt graduated from Bayard Rustin High School in 2011, and he was currently a student at Delaware County Community College. Matt was an avid student who received excellent grades and was passionate about philosophy and math. He enjoyed physical activity, including rock and rope climbing, tree climbing and paint ball among others. Matt visited his family oversees in Lebanon three times and really enjoyed his time.

Matt is survived by his parents, Youssef and Margherita Andraos; his five siblings, David, Theresa, Anastasia, Veronica, and Zacharia Andraos; his paternal grandmother, Jeanette Farhat Andraos; and his cousins Joseph, Chris, and Maria Andraos, and many more extended family members both in the US and across the globe as well as many very close friends.

A gathering will be held on Monday, April 6th , from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe parish, 15 E Pleasant Grove Rd, West Chester, PA 19382. His Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7th , at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Maximilian Kolbe parish. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in West Conshohocken.
