Michael P. Funaro, 64, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on February 4, 2022 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

Born on June 20, 1957 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Ralph and Helena (Montelli) Funaro.

Michael was raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and played many sports for the Germantown Boys Club. He was an avid fan of all Philadelphia sports teams. Those who knew him will remember him for his pleasant personality and sense of humor. He was kind hearted and loyal. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who loved him.

He is survived by his loving children; Yvonne, Michelle, Antonio (Christine), and Theresa Funaro.

Five grandchildren who he adored; Antonio Saez, Anthony Funaro, Vincent Funaro, Bianca Mendez, and Cecilia Funaro.

He also leaves his siblings; Jerry (Pam), Theresa, Jim, and Joe.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his funeral mass on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St Genevieve RC Church, 1225 Bethlehem Pike, Flourtown at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheltenham.

Michael's family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 AM at the church.
