It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Jones, who died peacefully on Monday, December 23rd, at the age of 72, with his loving wife and daughter by his side.

Mike was the cherished husband of Joanne (nee DiFalco) for 48 years. He was the proud father to Michelle (Michael D.) Batdorf and Patrick Jones, and a doting grandfather to his beloved granddaughter, Olivia M. Batdorf. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond C. Jones III, and his sister, Denise (Bryan) Deely.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond C. Jr. and Mary E. (nee Griffith) Jones.

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Mike was a graduate of Father Judge High School. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army, which laid the foundation for his long and successful career. He worked at Cigna for 31 years, followed by 15 years of service at FISERV. After retiring, Mike found joy in hobbies like gardening, fishing, and most importantly, spending time with his family and friends. He especially loved watching his granddaughter cheer and compete in track events, which brought him immeasurable pride.

Mike's kindness, strength, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Michael's life on Monday, January 6th from 10-11:30 at the Kirk and Nice Funeral Home on the grounds of George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. A service will be held at 11:30 before we escort Michael to his final resting place at George Washington Memorial Park.
