Obituary

Ralph W Quinn age 87 formerly of North Wales PA retired to St. Cloud Florida passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016. He was the husband of Doris (Smith) He was the father of: Ralph D. married to Diane, Thomas, Sybil married to Earl. His grandchildren are:Ralph D. Jr. married to Justine, Dirk married to Patty, Felicia, Marlena married to Dave, Natasha and Priscilla. His great grandchildren are: Meagan and Lynsey. He was a brother to Doris (Quinn) Kintzly married to Charles, the late Glenn who was married to Lillian, as well as an uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Ralph started his working years helping at his uncles sporting good store. He had various jobs until landing a job at the North Wales Water Authority which at the time had just three employees. He moved up the ladder as the authority grew, earning the position of operations manager and retiring after 30 years with them.

Following in his father's footsteps Ralph was also a dedicated volunteer of the North Wales, Lansdale and West Point fire companies.

As a young man Ralph was also a floor manager at West Point Skate Rink. In 1948 he met Doris Smith who by February 1949 became his wife. Skating was a large part of their lives and later became a regular family activity with their children.

Ralph also enjoyed bowling with his family as well as on bowling teams -winning him trophies.

Ralph was very skilled and knowledgeable with woodwork, electric and plumbing. There was rarely an item that he couldn't build or fix, from the kids toys, to household appliances and major home renovations. He could do it all.

His hobbies were building with wood, candle making and running HO gauge trains. As well as taking train trips with friends, to ride the old steam trains and Square Dancing with his wife and friends.

He was known in his later years for his western hat that was always on his head.

Ralph had a long and full life and will be missed by all those who loved him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Ralph's visitation on Tuesday July 5, 2016 from 10 AM followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home 80 Stenton Ave., Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting.
