Obituary

Richard Monroe Adams, 83, of Ambler, PA passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023 after a prolonged illness. Dick was born on February 21, 1940 in Washington D.C., the son of Lowell and Dorothy (nee Whaley).  Loving husband of Sarah (nee Lieberman), father of Nicole Zweitzig (Bruce) and Jeffrey Adams, grandfather of Nathan and Tyler, and step father of Helen Syen and Eugene Syen. He was a proud graduate of Drexel University, Class of 1964, with a degree in business and computer science, which he put to use in his long career in computer operations management. A lifelong Boy Scout, he was delighted to watch the next two generations continue the tradition. He was very particular about the cars he drove, most memorably a powder blue Chevy convertible, a slate green Cadillac El Dorado and of course, his beloved Lexus LS430D.

He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement, being able to spend time with his family and dogs, puttering in the garden, cheering on his beloved Eagles and Villanova Wildcats men's basketball.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the World Wildlife Fund, the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society or organization of the donor's choice.
