Obituary of Richard Greenwood
Richard H. Greenwood of Plymouth Meeting passed away January 5th 2010, he was 77. In 1955 Richard received his BFA in Industrial Design from Philadelphia College of Art after attending Northeast high School where he graduated class of 1950. An industrial designer he enjoyed a varied career including 13 years at Philco Ford where he took great pride in being a part of many innovative Television and appliance designs. He also worked as a professor of drafting and design at Montgomery County Community College for 23 years. Mr. Greenwood was a signature member of the Philadelphia Water Color Society, member of the Upstairs Gallery in Peddler''s Village, and the Greater Norristown Art League. He was also a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Plymouth Meeting. Mr. Greenwood is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Kathryn Greenwood (nee Powers), beloved daughters Susan Joy Greenwood and Janet Gala (nee Greenwood) and husband Tom. He is also survived by his loving granddaughters Angela, Hope and Sophie as well as his Grandson Daniel.
