Obituary of Robert Marchesani

Robert F. Marchesani, Sr., of Downingtown, passed away on December 11, 2013 at home. He was the beloved husband of Sharon, and loving father of Christopher, Daniel, Robert Jr., Michael, and Stephanie. Bob had a lifelong career in law enforcement in Philadelphia, first as a police officer then as a U.S. Marshal, and Special Agent, Witsec. After his retirement he conducted background investigations for the FBI. He was devoted to his family. When he wasn't taking care of them, Bob enjoyed Philly sports, politics, history, cars, the mountains, puzzles, and cooking. He is remembered for his kind heart, fun-loving personality, and easygoing smile. He is also survived by brothers, Nicholas, Edmund, and Thomas, sister Carmela Piraino, seven grandchildren, and many other family members.
