Obituary of Robert O'Connor
Commander Robert W. O''Connor, SC, USN, Ret.
Robert W., 82, Dec. 19, 2014. Resident of Worcester, Mont. Co. Survived by wife of 30 years, Phyllis. Also survived by three step-children, Christine Phillips Yaffe (Peter), Scott Curtis Phillips (Laurie), Linda Phillips Milovitch (David), and six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Spencer Yaffe, Christopher and Jennifer Phillips, Marsh Freeman and Erickson Milovitch, and by four daughters from a previous marriage.
Graduate of Northeastern Univ. (B.S.) and George Washington Univ. (M.A.). 26 year Naval veteran. Career highlights include teaching at the Naval War College in Newport, RI, a year aboard the USS Little Rock in the Mediterranean, and a year as a supply corps officer on Grand Turk Island in the Caribbean.
Contributions may be made in his memory to: Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. There will be a Naval burial at sea at a future date.
