IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert "Pretz"
Przywieczerski
August 15, 1933 – April 29, 2025
Robert "Bob" Przywieczerski, a devoted family man, proud Marine veteran, and retired Philadelphia police officer, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in Hagerstown, Maryland. Born on August 15, 1933, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Bob lived a life marked by service, integrity, and deep love for his family.
Bob served his country honorably as a United States Marine during the Korean War. Stationed in Quantico, Virginia, he carried discipline and dedication of military service into every aspect of his life. After returning home from duty, he embarked on a distinguished 30-year career with the Philadelphia Police Department. Throughout those decades of service, Bob touched countless lives with his compassion and courage. Among his proudest moments was receiving an award early in his career, for performing lifesaving first aid on a young girl—an act that exemplified his unwavering commitment to protecting others.
Bob's devotion to family was the cornerstone of his life. In his younger years, he worked tirelessly at multiple jobs to support his growing family. As time passed and children became parents themselves, Bob found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His presence was a constant source of strength and warmth across generations.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Deborah Konowal and her husband Robert; his son Robert Przywieczerski and wife Patricia; grandchildren Matthew Konowal (Mimi), Brennen (April), Sean and Shea Przywieczerski, and great-grandchildren Braden, Addison and Aubree Przywieczerski, and Ezra Konowal. He will also be missed by his many loving nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his cherished wife Florence (nee: MacMahon) Przywieczerski. Together they shared many joyful Saturday nights polka and swing dancing—moments filled with laughter and music that remain treasured memories for those who knew them.
A lifelong fan of Philadelphia sports teams—especially the Phillies and Eagles—Bob followed each season with enthusiasm. He also enjoyed listening to Bobby Vinton and Nat King Cole's music, which often filled their home with familiar melodies that echoed through decades of love and togetherness.
Bob Przywieczerski will be remembered as a hardworking, honest, and kind man whose legacy lives on through the family he loved so dearly. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
