Rosetta E. Liddle, 93, of Willow Grove, PA, passed away peacefully at home on August 17, 2016. Rose was born in Cowley, England to Frederick T. and Laura ( Lamb ) Williams on November 17, 1922 . She was an English War Bride and married PFC Walter E. Liddle of the United States Army on September 15, 1945 at St. Mary's Church in Cowley. She moved to the United States to be with her husband in 1946. Rose was an active member of the Wliiow Grove United Methodist Church. She was a phenomenal cook and took charge of the kitchen, known especially for her vegetable soup, fancy sandwiches, and Christmas cookies ! Rose loved animals and enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and looking after all of the neighborhood kids who lovingly called her " Aunt Rose ". She was precede in death by her husband , Walter Liddle, her brother, John Williams, her daughter, Helen Nicholson, her son - in - law, Robert Nicholson, and her grandson, Bruce Nicholson. Rose is survived by her sister, Grace Hassmann of England, her daughter, Grace Bruner of Willow Grove, her granddaughter, Erica Bruner of Willow Grove, her granddaughter, Bobbi Grace Nuss ( John ) of Schwenksville, her grandson Scott Nicholson Of Lansdale, PA and three great - grandchildren Jana Nuss, Holli Nuss and Drea Nicholson. aMemorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Kirk & Nice, INc. Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be mace to the Willow Grove United Methodist Church, 34 N.
