Obituary of Ruth Harrington

Ruth Haddox Harrington, 95, of Wyndmoor on Feb. 18, 2013, was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Winfred. Devoted mother of Fred (Karen), Jean (Arthur), Ann (Frank) and Kent (Marta), and former daughter-in-law, Nora. Grandchildren include Ian (Mindi), Jeffrey (Holly), Justin (Jenn), Melissa (Steven), Steven, Melanie, Daniel, Evelyn; and great grandchildren, Ava and Will. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret Scholz. Ruth worked as an executive secretary for the McCormick spice company in Baltimore before her marriage. She had a passion for genealogy and published books on the Harrington and Haddox families. She was an avid gardener, reader and crossword puzzle enthusiast. She loved traveling with her husband, often pursuing ancestral research. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Blue Bell, PA 19422 would be gratefully appreciated.
