Sandra "Sandy" Jean Gillie, age 77, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2019.

A resident of Myerstown, PA, she was born to William Sr. and Lily (Allen) Biggart on June 27, 1942 in Point Pleasant, NJ.

After beginning work at the Bulletin, where she met her loving husband, Sandy later worked for First Pennsylvania Bank while also managing the family business.  She enjoyed camping, socializing with her many friends, and playing cards.  Above all else, she especially loved spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her husband of 56 years, Richard S. Gillie, Sr., daughter Sandi Cals (Ronney) of Keller, TX, son Richard Gillie, Jr. (Stephanie) of Newtown, PA, sisters-in-law Nancy Hallowich of Elizabethtown, PA, Ethel Gillie of Emmaus, PA, and Sheryle Snider of Louisville, KY,  granddaughters Krystie Cals and Alyssa Bruns (Blake), grandsons Aiden, Benjamin, Chase, and Dalton Gillie, many nieces and nephews and other loving family members.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Biggart, Jr. and her two sisters Margaret Parker and Ruth Barr.
