Sherri L. (Leopold) Cunningham passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2022, at the age of 67. Sherri was a proud graduate of Penn State University, where she met her loving, devoted husband, Doug. They got married in 1977 and moved to Plymouth Meeting, PA, where they bought their first house. She started her career in the School District of Philadelphia, and after teaching in other schools also, she ended her career with many years under her belt at Center School in Abington. Her retirement was filled by spending countless hours laughing with her grandkids, playing Mah-jongg, spending time with family and friends at Sunny Willow and the beach, and going out to eat with friends.
Sherri was the beloved wife of Doug, the eldest daughter of Judy and the late Paul Leopold, caring mother of Stacy (Joe) and Nikki (Michael), most amazing Mimi to Michael, Mason, Olivia, and Logan, sister to Randi (John), Ronnie (Rachel), and Wendy (Ben), and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Sherri's life on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Kirk and Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting. Visitation will begin at 10:00am, followed by her funeral service at 11:00am. Sherri's interment will be private to the immediate family.
