Obituary of Thelma Rhoads

Mrs. Thelma I. Rhoads passed away on April 19th, 2011 at Genesis Healthcare in Quakertown. She was 95 years old. Born in Akron, PA she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Sweigart. Thelma was a sales person with Avon for about 20 years and in addition she worked at Arby''s, Sears, Dill''s Costumes where she halped to make Halloween costumes and also had her first job in a shoe factory. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, and gardening and one of her most proud roles was as a Foster Grandparent for over 15 years with Gotwals Elementary School in Norristown. She was loved by and will be missed by many including her son Roy B. Singleton and his wife Robyn D., her daughter Marlene F. Willauer and her husband Gary W., 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, her sister Theda Wagner and her brother Roy Sweigart, Jr. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimers Assocation of the Delaware Valley at 399 Market St. # 102 Philadelphia, PA 19106 or by visiting http://www.alz.org/desjsepa/in_my_community_donate.asp.
