Thomas William Burgess passed away peacefully on June 17, 2021 at home in Oaks, PA.  Tom was born on December 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA., the son of the late George and Katherine Burgess and foster parents grandmom and grandpop Allison. He was a graduate from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

Tom served in the United States Army.  After retiring from Penco, he enjoyed working outside and tinkering in the garage.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carmella (Tornetta); two daughters: Eileen Smith and her husband Kevin of Boyertown, PA, Heather Tagliaferi and her husband Larry Hillock of McDonough, GA; three grandchildren: Kayla and Tyler Knight, and Cameron Tagliaferi.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: George, Robert, and Ronald.

A memorial service will be at Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, Heritage Chapel, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA on July 24th at 10am-11am.  Burial will be at George Washington Memorial Park following the services.
