Obituary

Trudy Ann Morshead, 81 years old of Essington, PA passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021. She was born on November 24, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Carl Halter and Margaret Tannehill.

Trudy and Charles Morshead, childhood friends and neighbors, married in 1962 and raised four children together. They enjoyed spending summers at their North Wildwood, NJ home with their family. Trudy and Charles were very involved in theater groups and horseback riding. She was also a terrific ice skater. Trudy was a private music teacher, choir director and an accomplished organist and pianist who dedicated her time and talents to the Mt. Airy Presbyterian Church, the Emanuel Congregational Church of Hatfield, the University of Pennsylvania, the North Wildwood Methodist Church and numerous churches throughout the Greater Philadelphia area. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends. Her family wholeheartedly agreed that Trudy and her daughter Beth could beat Betty Crocker and Martha Stewart in a contest any day! Trudy loved decorating for holidays and kept her Christmas trees up all year round. She was attentive to everyone's needs but most of all was a loving wife, a wonderful mother and a doting grandmother "Nana". Trudy was a lover of animals especially her devoted little dogs. While she loved and missed all of them she truly missed her poodle, Pierre.

Trudy is survived by her loving husband Charles Morshead of 59 years and her three sons: Charles Morshead, Jr., Stephen Morshead and William Morshead. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Beth Ann Morshead Weibel and precious granddaughter, Savanna Sage Weibel. Trudy and Charles were blessed with 18 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren: Zachary, Ashley and Josephine Morshead, Andrea Morshead and Ryan, Lana and Maddox Arbacheski, Jacob, Brie and Wren Morshead, Carolyn, Rachel Morshead, Phoebe, Jack Ella Morshead, Alec, Alyssa, Andrew Morshead, William, Nicolas, Isabella Yourl, Stephen and Erin, Stephen Tyler, Adrian Yourl, Tessa Weibel, and Chris, Christopher Jr., Sage Ann Rodenberger, Aleko II, Sequoia, Elizabeth Weibel, and Stephen Petrushonis. Trudy also leaves behind a host of family and friends.

On behalf of her family we would like to thank everyone who lovingly cared for Trudy over the years.
