Obituary

Virginia "Ginny" Clare (Goering) Hale of Norristown, Pennsylvania, died at home with loved ones on Friday, June 24, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on June 14, 1939 to the late Charles E. Goering, Sr. and Clare Anna (Painter) Goering.
Ginny graduated from Central Bucks High School, she received her Bachelors of Education from Millersville University and her Masters of Education from Lehigh University. She taught elementary school in the Central Bucks School District and then in the Norristown Area School District. She later stopped teaching to become a stay-at-home-Mom to her 3 children. Ginny returned to the classroom when her youngest child was in school full time and became a substitute teacher throughout the Norristown district for over 20 years. She started her own tutoring business, A+ Educational Advantage, which allowed many children to have the confidence to succeed in school. Ginny kept in touch with many of the families she helped and became an honorary member of their families. For years she continued and celebrated life
achievements with the families. Continuing her love for teaching she worked for Neighborhood Youth Corp which was a summer program for students to help them with life skills, such as managing a bank account and budgeting for life. By far her favorite job outside of her home was being a math tutor at The Montgomery County Youth Center. She loved interacting with the children at the center and giving them the security to look to success in the future.
Ginny was a member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church, then Central Presbyterian Church, and finally The Reformed Church of the Ascension, UCC. Ginny had many hobbies including reading and painting. Ginny was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her husband, partner, and best friend Jack Hale, April 10, 1965. The two built a strong marriage that was admired by many and created a family with their three children. They strived to include anyone to be a part of their family that needed them. She loved becoming a grandmother, and in addition to her two granddaughters, she was called Granny by all who knew her. Ginny leaves behind her husband of 57 years, R. Jack Hale of Norristown, PA, her
daughter Virginia Clare "Nina" (Hale) Ely, her husband Andrew Ely of Norristown, PA, son Raymond J. "Beau" Hale, his wife Kelly Hale of Newport Beach, CA, daughter Sharon Helen (Hale) Mauch, and her husband Martin Mauch of Norristown, PA. She also leaves behind granddaughters Hope Rose Mauch and Clare Xi-Le Ely. Her siblings Charlotte Strawser of Perkasie, PA and Charles Goering, his wife Eileen of Franconia, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and the great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition she leaves all the people who call her Granny and are grieving her loss with their hearts.
There will be a graveside service for Ginny for her close family at George Washington Memorial Park.
