Wayne Sadowski, 84, of New Hope, PA passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, May 6, 2026.

Wayne was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late John Albert and Alice (nee: Kline) Sadowski on August 4, 1941. He attended Holy Name High School and graduated in 1958. He went on to earn a B.A. degree in Chemistry from Indiana University where he had received a full-ride scholarship to play football. He was a tackle on both the offensive and defensive teams. He was extremely proud when this year’s team was the undefeated champions! He played in the first game on the field that is used today at IU! He worked as a production manager in the plastics industry throughout his career. He founded and ran his own plastics manufacturing company until he retired.

He enjoyed all sports related activities. Wayne, along with others, organized the Hatboro-Horsham Youth Basketball Association (HHYBA) which still exists to this day. Upon retirement he became a PIAA certified official, officiating football, basketball, swimming, and track and field events both at the high school and collegiate levels. This year would have been his 25th year officiating the Penn Relays. He received several awards and commendations for his outstanding contributions to the world of youth sports.

Wayne is survived by his wife Kathi (nee: Babbitt), sons Kevin, Steven (Robyn), and Daniel, daughter Sharon (Thomas) Hayden, nieces Darlene (Kevin) Stamper and Brenda (Timothy) Steadman, nephew William Bolton, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is preceded in death by his sister Alice (William) Bolton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Trinity Buckingham Episcopal Church (2631 Durham Rd., Buckingham, Pa.) on Sunday, June 14th, with visitors welcome from 1-2:30pm with a church service to follow. The family welcomes you to join a reception at The Village of Buckingham Springs Clubhouse, located at 1490 Durham Rd, New Hope, PA 18938 immediately following Wayne's services.
