Obituary of William Boyland
William S. Boyland of Chestnut Hill, Ambler and Ft. Washington, on January 17, 2015. Age 86. Son of the late William John Boyland and Anna Mary (nee Wallace) Boyland, he was born and raised in Chestnut Hill. He graduated from Germantown High School and proudly served his country during WWII in the Philippines in the US Army. Bill served as Judge Advocate and was on the Board of Directors at the Conshohocken VFW Post 1074. He was a driver salesman for Stroehmann Bakery of Norristown, PA for 21 years, retiring in 1991. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the vacations in the Outer Banks in North Carolina and visiting his relatives in Ireland. He loved watching his children and grandchildren participating in sporting events, as well as watching the Phillies, Eagles and Penn State football.
Beloved husband of the late Evelyn D. Boyland. Loving father of William W. Boyland (Sherry), Stephen R. Boyland (Sharon), Sandra J. Morris, E. Jane Wiegand (Robert), and Mary A. Adamy (Earl). Dear Pop Pop of Natalie E. Cook (Tim), Stephanie D. Pichardo (Pedro), Stephen R. Boyland, Jr., W. Michael Boyland, Connor J. Wiegand, McKenna S. Wiegand, Dillon E. Adamy, and Devon M. Adamy.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 10 am at the Heritage Chapel at George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA where services will be held at 11 am. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park.
