Obituary of William Siegel

Siegel, William A., on April 25, 2012 of Blue Bell, PA. Formerly of Plymouth Meeting, age 88. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Rogers); devoted father of William (Linda), Edward, Mary Skyrm (Darrell), and Joanne Zborowski (William); grandfather of Jennifer and Matthew Siegel, Katie and Andrew Skyrm, and Suzanne Zborowski. Best Friend of Audrey Conolly. Brother of Alexander, Jeannette Fox and the late Kathryn Schmidt; brother-in-law to Ann Walsh and Theresa Rogers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a long time volunteer at the Morris Arboretum and a member of the North American Rock Garden Society. Shortly after graduating from Northeast H.S. in 1942, he entered the armed forces and served in the Army Air Corp. as a radio operator on B-24s and B-29s, Re-entering civilian life and working full time he attended night school at Drexel University and graduated in 1955 with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering. He spent the rest of his working career as a research and development engineer in the field of industrial implementation. After retiring in 1986, he pursued his lifelong hobby of gardening.
