Obituary of William Wilson
William Hallman Wilson, 87, on Wed., Sept. 9, 2015. Survived by his loving wife, Julie Stack Wilson (nee.Meis) and predeceased by his wife, Rosa Mae Wilson (nee.DeVerter) and his brother, Benjamin F. Wilson.
Bill served during World War II as a pharmacy technician in the Army Medical Corp. He played minor league baseball before entering Millersville University where he lettered in baseball and football. Bill received his Masters Degree at Temple University. He retired after 40 years as a teacher and then principal in the Colonial School District. Bill officiated Division 1 college football for 30 years and was also a member of the Maxwell Football Club. He was an avid golfer and a member of Plymouth Country Club for 40 years. Bill was a lifelong, diehard Eagles and Phillies fan.
Lovingly remembered by his wife, daughters, Lori Puleo (Frank) and Cheryl Roberts (Tom) and his grandchildren, Frank, Nick, Melissa, Tommy, Brittney and Chelsea. Also by stepsons, Tom, Jamie and Chris and nephews, Stephan, David and Benjamin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Bill''s visitation on Sat., Sept. 12, 2015 from 10:00AM - 11:30AM, followed by his memorial service at 11:30AM at Kirk & Nice Funeral Home, 80 Stenton Ave. Plymouth Meeting, PA. 19462. Entombment at George Washington Memorial Park, Plymouth Meeting, PA.
