Obituary of Winfred Harrington

WWINFRED ORMAL HARRINGTON, age 94, of Wyndmoor, PA on Oct. 29, 2008. He was the son of Jesse Warren and Dasie Harriet (nee Schofield) Harrington. Mr. Harrington was born in Grey Eagle, Minnesota.

Mr. Harrington went to the University of California at Berkely where he earned a BA degree in Chemistry. Following graduation, he worked for the Ford Motor Co. at the Golden Gate International Exposition.

Mr. Harrington was also a veteran of World War II. He served as a Captain in the Pacific Theatre. He also remained in the US Army Reserves and rose to the rank of Lt. Colonel. Following his active duty service, he worked for the USDA until his retirement in 1974.

He is survived by is beloved wife, Ruth Harrington (nee Haddox), children Fred H. Harrington (Karen ), Jean E. D'Angelo (Arthur), Ann L. Mason (Frank), Kent H. Harrington (Marta), former daughter in law Nora Harrington, grandchildren Ian (Mindi), Jeffrey (Holly), Justin, Melissa (Steven), Steven, Melanie, Daniel, Evelyn and great granddaughter Ava.
